The debate over whether or not the SAT or ACT should be required for admission to college has heated up as of late. And now researchers at Princeton University have released a new study finding that “ending the requirement [of SAT or ACT for college admission] would lead to demonstrable gains in the percentages of black and Latino students, and working class or economically disadvantaged students, who are admitted.” This could prove to be an important find for proponents of test-optional admissions since the colleges used for this study were all selective.
